This topic timeline is about Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE). It seeks to record the history of WEE in Dutch development cooperation over the period 1970-2022 in the international context. It shows how WEE gained prominence across various thematic areas. The timeline is based on relevant policy and other documents as well as the experiences of the involved resource persons.
